Haben Girma on Pushing Through Cultural and Societal Limitations
Haben Girma, the first deaf blind woman to graduate from Harvard Law is a trailblazer in her own rights. As a disability rights lawyer, advocate, author and speaker she is bringing disability advocacy and inclusion to mainstream media and making a difference.
Not only has she opened our eyes to the world of possibilities for people with disability, notably through her own achievements as a deaf-blind woman, but she is making strides in creating a world that does not put limitations on people with disabilities, but instead changes the environment to include them.
