Marron Gebremeskel is an Immigration Attorney and daughter of Eritrean refugees. For more than a decade, Marron owned and operated her immigration law practice where she advocated for immigrants. She has also served as an Asylum Officer and as an Immigration Services Officer for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security in Houston, Texas. She recently served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Fort Worth, Texas.
She continues to consult immigration attorneys through her law practice and is an adjunct professor teaching Immigration Law.

Since childhood Marron’s writing has served as one of her favorite hobbies and as therapy, and she continues to use it as such while navigating through life. Cactus Fruit is her debut book about her life experiences.

Marron is a wife and mother to three boys, her greatest accomplishments.
